ALL IN A DAYS WORK
I thought I would try something different with my layout but I'm not sure I like it. I want to post
pictures so I thought smaller would be better. I chose the no layout plan, but now I am working harder to get this to look like something and I feel like I'm all over the page. Bear with me please!
I wanted to show you what we did on Memorial Day. We had a wonderful weekend full of activity so we had to do some work on Monday. This in no certain order. We had lots of fun even if we do call it work!
Naomi working hard on climbing the tree.
Levi working hard on caring the limbs around so that they don't kill the grass. We bring them to the compost pile to be made into mulch. He has learned that he is strong and can anything he puts his mind to. A little instruction really helps too!
We planted the garden with banana peppers. Two weeks ago we planted several kinds of tomatoes and peppers. We also started cutting down this pine tree that died last year. It was not in the plan but since we need to move some plants, that has to go. The plan is to cut the top off and leave it to carve into a totem pole, we'll see.....
We made the cornhole games to be donated to the church fair. We are still working on them but hope to be done soon. Joe's workshop is really coming along, not necessarily in order, but showing progress.
I will try not to experiment too much, this wore me out! Now you really have to click on the pictures if you want to see them.
Here's to trying new things!!!

BLOG QUESTION
I'm curious, since I decided to take an unannounced leave of action here. Did anyone miss us? I know everyone is busy, (and I didn't plan on staying away so long) but do you still check blogs even if you don't post or comment?
I love it when I see that others have posted something, it's like getting a good piece of mail instead of bills all the time. What do you all think?

OUR FAMILY
These pictures were made on our trip home. Jack was 6 days old here and doing beautiful. You can tell the family was excited! We had a really nice Mother's day even though it poured the rain. We go to go to church with my brother and his family. My niece Emily crowned the Virgin Mary and Katherine was an alter server, it made it an extra special mass. Levi, Meme, Jack and Uncle Sam.
Levi, Naomi, Jack and Meme.
Baby Jack. I love this picture of him. He is so sweet, such a good baby.

EMU OIL
This is the bomb! My little boy developed a small patch of psoriasis on his head earlier this year. Not wanting to use harsh shampoos on him I started treating him with everything I know. The doctor said to try cortisone or antibiotic ointment, I tried both. I tried the good old fashion Listerine (did you know that was its original use?), I tried several different oil and then I found this. I couldn't believe my eyes, in one day it was noticeably better! Now, five days later I really have to look to find the spot. I will continue to use it until it is completely gone but am experimenting on myself for its other uses. I'll keep you posted on those if I see results.

MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO
I thought you all might be ready for a good laugh. At my family, of course.
I took the younger kids to school this morning, just like every morning. With the beautiful weather and high spirits they ask if they could be let out at the furthest spot possible. They ask a little late, and I am always leery of them walking by so many moving cars. So I told them I would let them off the next time cars stopped. Still far enough back to make them happy. I must say we were not running late, as we sometime push the time limit, but today was not one of those days.
I let my kids out and they start running. (For some reason my kids like to do that) The other kids look at them sometimes but they seem oblivious. So, today they take off. Pass a car, the kid looks at them and he starts running! Only better was the car behind us that let out and they start running! It seemed a clear case of follow the leader. They were all young kids, the older one know better (that's not cool to be excited about school). It gave me a good morning laugh. And it makes me think, be a good example, because the kids are going to follow.
